Busy Workload Leaves Little Time for Website Updates

Dedicated to client service above all, Valek and Company has been very busy over the past year working on behalf of clients including Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI), The Joint Commission, HIMSS, Illinois HIV Care Connect, Medscape, the University of Chicago, the American Osteopathic Association, and more.

For PMI, Valek & Co. developed a strategic communications plan and produced media relations hits in the Sacramento Bee, Arizona Republic and Los Angeles Times. Another hit was the animated video Valek & Co. produced featuring TV and radio personality Bill Kurtis. The video explains how PMI members’ products save water while meeting high safety and performance standards.

For The Joint Commission, Valek & Co. contributed to Sentinel Event Alerts on falls prevention and the safe use of health information technology. Ray Valek conducted a writing class for the organization’s Washington, D.C. office and contributed again to The Joint Commission’s annual report on quality and safety, Improving America’s Hospitals.

Valek & Co. produced speeches and scripts for the annual conference and exhibition HIMSS15 and completed a variety of other writing and public relations assignments for HIMSS over the course of the year.

Managing Illinois HIV Care Connect’s website and social media program was another key duty of Valek & Co. over the past several months, which saw an upgrade of the website and a successful quality improvement initiative centered around viral suppression. Illinois HIV Care Connect has a presence on Twitter @ILCareConnect, Facebook, and Google+.

Ray Valek wrote a series of articles about health information technology for Medscape, successfully promoted the Brain Teasers TED-style talk for the University of Chicago, and did executive speechwriting for the American Osteopathic Association.
